Ok, that's funny. Kinda goes along with the whole "let's say everything in hollywood is parallel to the Bible" fad. (can we say Lord of the Rings anyone?) Not that I didn't like the movies, but honestly..why all the parallels? Lord of the Rings wasn't written to parallel the Bible any more than The Terminator.
The Mariah thing was funny...and meant to be so. She was probably not thinking about the Bible when she sang it. The Lord of the Rings, on the other hand, was written by a Catholic with known ties to C.S. Lewis, a Christian. Yes, some music and literature can be interpreted with much bias. However, some music and literature were written with the intent to parallel the Bible.
I've always liked Mariah. :)
